 Antam's exploration
program is administered and executed by the
Company's Geology Unit. Highly trained and
with a wealth of experience the services of the
Geology Unit are sought after by domestic and
international exploration companies that want to
improve their chances of making a
discovery.
Solely responsible
for the discovery of Pongkor in 1988, the Geology
Unit also works together with Antam's Contract of
Work (COW) and Joint Venture partners to create
synergies and make discoveries and develop
mines. An important part of Antam's strategy
to be a world-class mining company by 2010 is to
create strategic partnerships with global mining
corporations. Often this strategy is first
realized through exploration efforts and the
Geology Unit.
