Support SMEs, ANTAM Distribute Bussines Capital Assistance in Southeast Sulawesi

Southeast Sulawesi – In order to support the economic development of the community in order to be able to be independent and have competitiveness, ANTAM distribute Partnership Program funds in the amount of Rp 2.5 billion in Southeast Sulawesi.
Through phase I of the Community Development Partnership Program (CDPP) in 2019, ANTAM Southeast Sulawesi Nickel Mining Business Unit has channeled business capital assistance to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
“The revolving fund budget was channeled to 67 fostered partners spread across the Kolaka Regency, North Konawe and Kendari City regions. While recipients consist of trade, fisheries, services, livestock and industry businesses,” Maemanah said as ANTAM Southeast Sulawesi Nickel MBU's Partnership and Community Stewardship Program Assistant Manager.
Maemanah also said that from 2015 to 2019, ANTAM had channeled assistance to the Partnership Program (PK) with 743 trained partners spread across Southeast and South Sulawesi.
The distribution of the Partnership Program which is an implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is one of the events in the series of PT ANTAM Tbk's 51st Anniversary commemorations, channeled to four regions, namely North Maluku, West Kalimantan, Southeast Sulawesi, and Jakarta.
On June 15, ANTAM, through the North Maluku Nickel Mining Business Unit distributed a Partnership Program loan worth a total of Rp4 billion to 133 fostered partners. Meanwhile in West Kalimantan through the Bauxite Mining Business Unit, ANTAM channeled PK loan funds worth Rp1.59 billion for 29 trained partners.
Whereas through the Southeast Sulawesi Nickel Mining Business Unit, there were 30 houses (roof, floor, wall) renovation for 30 residents in Kolaka Regency. ANTAM also distributed educational equipment packages with a target of 1,500 packages for elementary schools in Pomalaa and Kumoro.
Meanwhile Vice President of ANTAM Southeast Sulawesi Nickel MBU's Human Capital and Corporate Social Responsibility, Kamsi revealed that besides the easy requirements, the revolving fund from the PP source also has no interest at all.
"We only charge a service charge of 3 percent, not a loan interest. This service fee is also not for ANTAM, but is used to finance extension activities in order to increase the portfolio of the trained partners. The funds received by the borrowers also have no deductions at all, "said Kamsi.
He also said that revolving funds were used to improve the economy of the people so that they should be used as well as possible. Because, if the program runs well, the trained partners get the opportunity to become recipients of this fund for the next nine years.
