Jakarta, December 7, 2021 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM), a member of MIND ID - BUMN Holding Mining Industry, synergize with a joint Emergency Response Group (ERG) under the coordination of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE’s) participated in accelerating humanitarian assistance to communities affected by the natural disaster of Mount Semeru's eruption in Lumajang Regency, East Java.
ANTAM's Corporate Secretary, Mr. Yulan Kustiyan said that the Company also supports the Government's emergency response to the Mount Semeru eruption.
“Some of the activities that have been carried out include coordination, establishment of Command Posts, search for victims and evacuation, as well as joint evaluations with related institution and local office. We will also provide logistical assistance such as staple foods, blankets and toddler/baby food,” said Yulan.
Yulan hopes that with ANTAM's support in this effort, it can ease the burden of the victims in Lumajang residents which have been hit by this disaster.
“Hopefully the condition of the victims in the affected areas will improve soon. We together with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Team & SOE’s Cares will do our best to help the disaster management process,” he added.
ANTAM's ERG team, which are members of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Team & SOE’s Cares, arrived at the affected location since last Monday, December 6 2021 by sending 10 (ten) people consisting of several Companies which were divided into rescuers, medical and evacuation personnel.
The field coordinators in charge are General Coordinator: Mr. Asril (ANTAM); Logistics Coordinator: Mining Inspector (KESDM); Rescue Coordinator 1: Mr. Sugeng H (PT Bank Syariah Indonesia); Rescue Coordinator 2: Mr. Syahroni (PT Perusahaan Pengelola Asset); and Health Coordinator: Mr. Nasir (PT Paiton Energy).
Before moving to the affected areas in Koboan Curah Hamlet and Kajar Kuning Hamlet, Pronojiwo District, Lumajang Regency, the team also coordinated with the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Lumajang Regency, the TNI and POLRI.
In this initial stage, the team has established the Command Post and continues to search for residents and evacuate residents to the evacuation post.
Today, the joint team also carried out health checks and treatment for the refugees at the Tumpeng Village Head Office, Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency.
“ANTAM together with the joint team will synergize with related parties to accelerate the handling of the Semeru emergency response in Lumajang,” concluded Yulan.
