ANTAM Plants 10,000 Albizia, Acacia, and Buckthorn in Pasir Madang Village, Sukajaya District, Bogor Regency

Since October 2012, ANTAM, together with the community of Pasir Madang and Regional Forum II of Sylva Indonesia (Association of Forestry College Students of Indonesia) conducts trees planting initiatives at the critical lands in Pasir Madang Village, Sukajaya District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

The initiative also serves as research area for college students of the Faculty of Forestry of Bogor Agricultural Institute. The initiative involves 15 farmers group at the area of 13.45 hectares.

The initiative was completed on May 17, 2013. Having said that, ANTAM continues to monitor the progress of the program for two periods starting from the start of the plantation.

ANTAM allocates Rp78 million for the program, which includes the 10,000 trees planting activities and 1 year monitoring program.

The program is part of ANTAM's support toward the government's One Billion Indonesia Trees (OBIT) program. The program also aims to rehabilitate critical lands, recover soil fertility, increase carbon absorption, protect water flows and is part of ANTAM's Environment CSR program to its stakeholders.
