ANTAM's Geomin Unit Plants 67,856 Trees in Former Exploration Areas

Since January until October 2013, ANTAM's Geomin Unit has conducted reclamation through trees planting activities in former exploration areas of Dairi, Jambi, Garut, Pongkor and Cibaliung. ANTAM's Geomin Unit also conducted trees planting activities in the surrounding exploration areas.

Until end of October 2013, ANTAM's Geomin Unit has planted 67,856 trees, consisting of 13,076 trees on the former exploration areas and CSR Trees Planting Activities of 40,780 trees.

The program is part of ANTAM's support toward the government's One Billion Indonesia Trees (OBIT) program. The program also aims to rehabilitate critical lands, recover soil fertility, enrich local native plants, increase carbon absorption, protect water flows and is part of ANTAM's Environment CSR program to the surrounding communities.
