ANTAM Celebrates Its 45th Anniversary

Jakarta, July 8th, 2013 - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ASX - ATM; IDX – ANTM; ANTAM) is pleased to announce that the company held a series of social activities in celebrating the company's 45th anniversary on July, 5, 2013.

The activities reflect the company's concern to the community and environment. ANTAM organized a free mass circumcision for 240 children, distribution of 11,350 free food packages to the underprivileged, and planting of 550 productive plants.

ANTAM's President Director, Tato Miraza, said:
"These series of social activities benefiting the community and the environment are held in the spirit of the celebration of our 45th anniversary."

The mass circumcision was held on July, 4, 2013 with the participation of 240 underprivileged children aged 6-12 years around Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi area. At the same time, ANTAM also distributed free food packages to 11,350 underprivileged families throughout the company's operations area.

ANTAM also planted 550 productive plants in the urban forest of the University of Indonesia campus in Depok on July, 6, 2013. The tree planting ceremony was attended by ANTAM's President Director, Tato Miraza; University of Indonesia's Director of Alumni Relations, Arie Setiabudi Susilo; Director General of Watershed & Social Forestry of the Indonesian Forestry Ministry, Hilman Nugroho; and Director of Forest Rehabilitation, Bedjo Santoso.

The planting sites were located in the buffer zone of the one hectare-urban forest. During the event, ANTAM planted breadfruit, water apple, guava, avocado, jackfruit, durian, and island lychee.

The tree planting activity is part of the Indonesian government's one billion tree planting program. ANTAM targets 1.5 million trees to be planted in 2013 with planting being conducted in all areas of the company's operations, post-mining area, as well as outside ANTAM's operations area.

ANTAM's social and environmental management activities were held in celebration of the company's 45th anniversary, as well as part of the company's routine Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
