ANTAM Conducts Corporate Governance Leadership Training Program

Jakarta, June 18th, 2013 - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ASX - ATM; IDX - ANTM; ANTAM) is pleased to announce the company has conducted the Corporate Governance Leadership Training Program on 7-8 June 2013 at Novotel Hotel, Bogor, West Java. The program is part of the Good Corporate Governance (GCG) induction program for members of the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners of ANTAM and its subsidiaries. The program aims to improve and enhance the understanding of GCG implementation, in consideration of the triple bottom line principles: Environment, Society and Economy to achieve corporate sustainability.

ANTAM's President Director, Tato Miraza said:
"The event reflects ANTAM's GCG implementation is not simply a compliance of existing standards and regulations. Rather, we continue to innovate and improve continually and consistently the implementation of GCG principles."

The program was collaboration between ANTAM and the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD), an independent and renowned corporate governance institution in Indonesia.

ANTAM's GCG implementation has been recognised year on year by a range of external and independent organisations. In 2012 ANTAM received the Strongest Adherence to Corporate Governance Award from the Alpha Southeast Asia Award 2012, 2nd Rank in The Best GCG Implementation from Business Review Award; Best Corporate Governance for Non-Financial Sector from IICD Award 2012, and the Most Trusted Companies from Corporate Governance Perception Index Award 2012.

As a commitment to the comprehensive implementation of good corporate governance, ANTAM is adopting the GCG international practices such as the 2010 Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations issued by the ASX Corporate Governance Council, the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ASEAN CG Scorecard), the 2006 Code from the Indonesian National Committee on Governance (KNKG) as well as the criteria and methodology of corporate governance formulated by the State Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises No: SK-16/S.MBU/2012 dated June 6, 2012.
