ANTAM Receives Environmental Trophy and Conservation Management Award 2020 from the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal

Jakarta, October 1, 2020 - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM) is pleased to announce that the Company received awards for the successful implementation of Good Mining Engineering Practice on 2020 from the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia on September 29, 2020 in Jakarta.

ANTAM receives 7 (seven) awards in various categories with 1 (one) Trophy through the Gold Mining Business Unit which was considered to be the best performer of the Mineral and Coal Mining Environmental Management category of the Mining Business License group.

The Gold Mining Business Unit also received an ADITAMA (gold) rating in the Mineral and Coal Mining Environmental Management category of the Mining Business License group and a PRATAMA rating (bronze) in the Mineral and Coal Conservation Management category of the Mineral Commodity Mining group.

ANTAM's Southeast Sulawesi Nickel Mining Business Unit received 3 (three) awards: PRATAMA (bronze)  rating in the Mineral and Coal Mining Technical Management category of the Mineral Commodity Mining group; PRATAMA (bronze) rating in the Mineral and Coal Conservation Management category of the Mineral Commodity Mining group; and PRATAMA (bronze) rating in the Standardization Management category and Mining Service Business of the Mining Service Company Management group.

In addition, the North Maluku Nickel Mining Business Unit received the PRATAMA (bronze) rating in the Mineral and Coal Mining Safety Management Award category of the Mining Business License Holder Group.

In 2020, ANTAM received 2 (two) awards in the aspect of Mineral and Coal Conservation Management with elements of the assessment consisted of: a) mineral and coal conservation administration; b) mining recovery; c) processing recovery; d) management and utilization of low grade minerals; e) management and utilization of associated minerals; f) management and utilization of marginal reserves; g) data collection and management of residual processing and refining products; h) data collection of non-mined reserves; i) mineral and coal conservation innovation.

The 2020 Good Mining Engineering Practice Award aims to give appreciation to companies that have successfully implemented their programs well. This award assessment is based on the Company's 2019 performance from the administration stage, online verification stage and remote sensing information technology, to the crosschecking stage or the final evaluation.
